[Icon-tech] device creation error while mounting

I encountered a weird problem that I haven't been able to solve.  While 
connecting the Icon unit to a Linux box, the product was properly 
recognised.  However, in stead of creating an SD block device like all 
other mass storage device, the kernel created an sg character device 
(crw-r----- root disk /dev/sg7), and therefore cannot be mounted.  Since I 
can't reproduce this with any other mass storage devices, I suspect this 
has something to do with Icon?
