I guess the question is, is it something you're willing to do because my idea for the lessons is not to do for you but to enable you to do it yourself. For example we could do lessons on getting an application started, setting up application database, accessing the web and services, running separate tasks, or more basic tasks like creating views and menus, but the idea is not for me to develop the application but for people like yourself to develop it using any lessons we work on here along with this list as a resource.

I'd like to develop for both. But, for simplicity purposes, I'd think the RememberTheMilk API is better. It would make a better training at least. THerer's a lot in the Evernote API and that client will be harder to develop or will take lot more time.

Not a bad choice both have python API's and are good web services. Do you have a preference one over another and why?

I'm interested in using various API's to develop companion clients. RememberTheMilk, Evernote, etc.

What kind of projects would you be interested in developing?

First there is no need to use Gcc because the applications are developed in Python. A good place to go for information of creating your own application is:
http://tech.aph.org/mm/wiki/Development
I have been thinking of doing a tutorial series here on this email list if people are interested. So if there are a couple of interested developers out there with ideas please email them to me so we can see if there is a need and maybe we can create a class specifically geared at getting you started with your projects.
Thanks,
Ken

I could be wrong, I should have said, at some point I do hear claim of work being done on an sdk, nothing says it'll be when the next version of the software comes out.

When the next version of the software comes out, apparently there'll be a start of an sdk available to go with it.

Subject: [Icon-tech] finding documentation on developing programs for thebraille plus
Hi, Looking on the user site for the icon and braille plus I don't see any
documentation or developers kit for making packages or doing any type of
development like compiling programs from source for the icon or braille
plus. I also use debian linux on my desktop so am an advanced linux user.
Also are there any directions on bridging the usb network connection in
linux like there are in windows? I would have thought that as the icon and
braille plus are based on linux directions would be provided for both
operating systems for those of us who use them. Also, after installing a
package like any of the games or what else you choose to install is it
always required to reboot in order to make the application work?
