I would also like to see the teamtalk program found at www.bearware.dk,
compiled for the braille+ but I have no background on such, maybe I could
work with someone on the list here?

In God We Trust,

Clay

Hi, One program I was wanting to compile for the icon and braille plus is
the fun bsdgames package you would probably have to run them from the consol
or a menu option. With the versions of vim tiny and emacs does the vim tiny
package replace any other vi editor that was already installed? How in
emacs with the braille plus do you do things like hit escape and alt
commands to control the editor?

What kind of projects would you be interested in developing?

Ken

First there is no need to use Gcc because the applications are developed in
Python. A good place to go for information of creating your own application
is:

http://tech.aph.org/mm/wiki/Development

I have been thinking of doing a tutorial series here on this email list if
people are interested. So if there are a couple of interested developers
out there with ideas please email them to me so we can see if there is a
need and maybe we can create a class specifically geared at getting you
started with your projects.

Thanks,

Ken

I could be wrong, I should have said, at some point I do hear claim of work
being done on an sdk, nothing says it'll be when the next version of the
software comes out.

When the next version of the software comes out, apparently there'll be a
start of an sdk available to go with it.

Hi, Looking on the user site for the icon and braille plus I don't see any
documentation or developers kit for making packages or doing any type of
development like compiling programs from source for the icon or braille
plus. I also use debian linux on my desktop so am an advanced linux user.
Also are there any directions on bridging the usb network connection in
linux like there are in windows? I would have thought that as the icon and
braille plus are based on linux directions would be provided for both
operating systems for those of us who use them. Also, after installing a
package like any of the games or what else you choose to install is it
always required to reboot in order to make the application work?
