[Icon-tech] Trying to write dollar amounts in the word processor

I have been trying to use the Braille+ to keep a quick list of all the money
I spend.  However when I try to read back my entries for my dollar amount it
reads all garbled.  But if I arrow through the dollar amount it reads the
characters as numbers.  Has anyone else experienced anything similar?  Is
there a solution to my problem?
