Greetings:
I direct this message to Levvelstar employees.
In the past two months, my employer, because of my recommendations have
attempted to order two Icons with docking stations.  We have been advised
that Levelstar was unable to fulfill these requests because they had no
product in stock.  We were further told that Levelstar might be able to ship
products sometime in June.  I believe that the Icon with docking station is
a wonderful product that could assist many of our clients who need note
taking functionality as well as all of the many other functions provided by
the Icon.  The Icon's developers have created some of the most innovative
ideas that I have encountered in the assistive technology field.
However,all of this is meaningless if one cannot obtain the device.
Because we at the Iowa Departmet For the Blind cannot know at this time when
or if our order will be fulfilled, we are going to recommend at our June 11
quarterly staff meting, that we should not be recommending the Icon with
docking station to our clients simply because we don't know if the device is
or will be available.  This is unfortunate.  However, Levelstar has left us
no choice.
